How this site makes money
Running an independent testing site costs money — every payout test starts with a real deposit from our own pocket. Here is exactly how SafeBetting.co.za is (and isn't) funded.
Affiliate links
Some links to bookmakers are affiliate links. If you click one and open an account, the
bookmaker pays us a commission. This costs you nothing extra. Every page containing affiliate
links carries a disclosure notice above the fold, and every such link is marked
rel="sponsored" for search engines.
The rules that keep us independent
- Rankings are set by measured data. Payout-speed rankings come from our timestamped test withdrawals. A bookmaker cannot buy a better position, and a commission rate has never moved a ranking.
- We only ever link provincially licensed South African operators. No offshore casinos, no unlicensed sites — regardless of what they offer to pay. (Interactive online casino gambling is unlawful in South Africa; we don't cover it and won't promote it.)
- Negative findings get published. If a withdrawal was slow or support was poor, it goes in the review — affiliate partner or not.
- Operators never see reviews before publication and cannot pay to edit them.
Advertising
Pages may also carry Google AdSense display advertising, clearly distinguishable from content. Ad networks do not influence editorial content.
What we will never publish
- "Guaranteed win" claims or betting systems — they don't exist
- Content presenting gambling as a source of income
- Promotions aimed at anyone under 18
- Bonus offers without their material terms (wagering requirements, minimum deposits)
