This policy explains how SafeBetting.co.za processes personal information in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect and why

  • Usage data (analytics): pages visited, approximate location (country/city level), device and browser type. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site (POPIA s11(1)(f)). Analytics data is aggregated and not used to identify you.
  • Advertising cookies: if advertising is enabled on a page, Google AdSense may set cookies to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads depending on your Google settings. You can control ad personalisation at Google Ads Settings and read Google's policy at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • Email correspondence: if you contact us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle the matter, then delete it.

We do not require accounts, do not collect ID numbers or financial information, and do not sell personal information.

This is a static website served over HTTPS. We keep no user database. Aggregated analytics are retained per the analytics provider's standard retention settings; correspondence is deleted once resolved.
